TAUPE TRENCH

ALL SAINTS Hace trench coat

I've been practically living in this trench coat lately trying to stay warm in LA's cooler temperatures. Honestly, I don't know what it is lately, but the weather just can't seem to make up it's mind. Hot and sunny one day, doom and gloom the next. Normally, I would just reach for a sweater or a leather jacket when it gets like this, but lately, I've become a huge fan of a trench coat, for it's definitely a cozier, and in many ways warmer option.

Love this particular one I found at All Saints because of the slightly slouchier, softer silhouette. You know how much I love versatility, and this one works with just about anything from dresses, to jeans and denim cutoffs. I've even warn it for cocktails the other day pairing it with a fitted pencil skirt and a pair of heels and loved the way it looked! And when you find something that works day and night and looks good with essentially everything in your closet, you know it's a keeper:)

PALM SPRINGS IN PINK

Though normally I associate Palm Springs with blazing heat, palm trees and unreasonably long dips in the pool, turns out Palm Springs has a lot to offer even if the temperatures are nowhere near what I would normally consider hot or warm for that matter:)

As I have mentioned before, most of the time our trips to Palm Springs are the most glorious examples of procrastination, where Emil and I certainly make plans to venture outside of our hotel to explore, yet somehow always end up lingering by the pool, working on our tans and sipping drinks with little umbrellas in them. Both of us, I think at some point accepted the fact that these trips are not exactly productive or active, and allowed ourselves this time to be a bit lazy. Yet, I've always wanted to see more of Palm Springs.

Well, I certainly got my wish this time:)! Though, I have to admit that initially the cooler weather put a bit of damper on my mood, I soon discovered its full benefits. We were finally able to walk around Palm Springs, something we would never dare to do in the warmer months. Have breakfast, lunch and dinner outside without worrying about melting and take pictures of our adventures throughout the day while my hair and make up remained more or less in tact, which is, trust me, a big deal because normally my make up starts running down my face within 15 minutes and hair... well let's just say no amount of product can combat that frizzy mess.

EXPLORING SPRING TRENDS WITH PEOPLE STYLEWATCH

Good morning, Everyone! Hope your week is going great so far!

I am so excited to partner with PEOPLE StyleWatch for their March issue to explore a few of my favorite Spring trends. Though, there are more than a few trends coming in for Spring/Summer 2015 I am absolutely crazy about, I would like to take this opportunity to talk about the top 3 on my list, starting with the gorgeous ear cuff I am sporting in this post.

Ear cuff are my weakness, more than just earrings, ear cuffs make a statement and elevate even the simplest of looks to the next level. My favorite way to wear ear cuffs is by pairing them with casual pieces like jeans and leather jackets or tailored ones, like blazers and slacks. Though of course ear cuffs work great with dressier, evening pieces, adding an ear cuff to an everyday look, adds a bit of edge, polish and glamour, making any outfit look more polished and pulled together.

Next on my list is a Kimono-style trench coat or a duster, if you will. Wear with everything and everywhere kinda piece, a duster is a fantastic topper for any casual look. For example, a pair of denim cut-offs and a simple tee or skinny jeans and an oversized shirt can look much more polished and pulled together layered with a duster. Yet, what I like about dusters the most is their versatility. Unlike other toppers, dusters work equally well with casual and dressy pieces and can look quite sophisticated worn with tailored items like slacks and culottes.

Finally, and I am sure the last item on this list comes as no surprise given that I am a complete shoeaholic, a pair of lace-up Summer booties. Sort of a hybrid between booties and sandals, this marvel of a shoe manages to add a bit of modernity even to the most traditionally feminine of looks. I love to wear these with flirty frocks and skirts, to add  bit f weight to the outfit. Take a fit-and-flare dress for example, paired with a strappy high-heel sandal it looks girly and pretty. Yet, if you add a pair of lace-up booties, the same dress instantly looks much edgier and definitely more modern.

P.S. To see more of my Spring picks, check out the March issue of PEOPLE StyleWatch available this Friday!

UNDER THE JACARANDAS

Good morning and happy Saturday, Everyone! Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far! I think I may have mentioned before, I love that time of the year when Jacaranda trees start to blossom across Los Angeles. There is something absolutely magical about taking a stroll under a canopy of lavender Jacarandas, on a ground covered with vibrant purple petals. And since they bloom for only a short period of time, I simply cannot resist an opportunity to walk on the streets lined with these beautiful trees and take blog photos of course:)

TALES OF THE TRENCH

Good morning, Everyone! Hope you're enjoying your week so far. Emil and I shot these pics in Malibu Country Mart, one of our favorite places to be on a sunny day or  really any day for that matter. We haven't visited Malibu in about a month, which is definitely a new record for us because normally we come here at least 2-3 times a week.
But I guess this unintentional break was a good thing, because even tough everything looked exactly the same, somehow it felt different and new and made us even more aware of just how much we love coming here:)

PRETTY PASTELS

Good morning and happy Thursday, Everyone! How was your week so far? As you can tell, I am back to wearing my favorite color palette. Not really sure why, but something about warm weather and sunshine brings out my inner pastel fanatic:) But my weakness for soft colors aside, today's look is all about current favorites. For the past few weeks, I've been searching for a perfect light-colored topper, so when I spotted this cute number from Ann Taylor A-List collection, I knew I finally found it. I just love the super easy silhouette, combination of cream and caramel and of course the leather trim.
For today's look, I paired it with a jewel-collared shirt in baby blue and a matching cross-body bag, also from the A-List collection, which is now available on-line and in stores. So, check it out when you get the chance. To complete this outfit, I added a few gold bracelets and rings, mainly because I just can't resist pairing creams, blues and gold but also because I feel like every look can use a little sparkle:) What do you guys think?
