MY SUMMER SHOE STAPLES

Can hardly believe that a huge shoeaholic like me haven't done one of these posts already. But there you have it, first post specifically dedicated to shoes! Perhaps we can start a tradition?:) And not just shoes, but some of my absolute favorites!

Take these Gucci sandals for example, sleek and sexy, they complete any outfit to such an extent, I actually make an effort not to wear them everyday with everything. No, seriously! :) Of course, judging by the number of appearances they already made on this blog { see herehere & here }, I am obviously not winning that battle. Joe's Jeans pumps, Randa wedges and Schutz Arieli heels make an appearance in this post for the exact same reason. I mean, what can I say, versatility is important!

Miu Miu glitter pumps, Isa Tapia heels and Monika Chiang sandals speak to the color-obsessed, statement-shoe-fanatic aspect of my personality. The brighter the better, that's my motto! I don't know about you, but I find coral patent, glitter soles, jagged lace up straps in mint suede and intertwined leather and chain straps completely irresistible! And I am also pretty sure, I am not the only one:)!

EASY BREASY EYELET

Multi colored wedge sandals via Randa | Equipment Signature Riley tee | Rag & Bone Portobello tie dye shorts | J Crew sunglasses - sold out { similar here } | Vanessa Mooney Lynx cuff & unity ring | Rebecca Minkoff bag - sold out { similar here & here } | Essie nail polish in "Bikini So Teeny"

Today's look is all about comfort. It's been so hot in LA lately, I find myself reaching for relaxed, breathy pieces like this eyelet top for example, which I decided to pair with cute denim tie dye shorts. Easily one of the prettiest tops I currently own, it's made from super light-weight & luxurious silk, which is why it's one of my current favorites.

As tempting as it was to wear flats, instead, I opted to go with a pair of color-block wedges thanks to Randa, a wonderful brand from Japan, who just launched their international on-line store. For me, a good wedge is a great heel substitute, stylish yet comfortable! And I don't know about you guys, but color blocking still makes me weak at the knees:)

I completed this look with an oversized bag and a pair of aviators. Giant purses happen to be a particular weakness of mine. I just really like to carry everything with me, and yes, everything definitely includes 5 different lip glosses,  2 hair brushes, a hair spray, a few pairs of sunglasses, and a whole bunch of Emil's stuff. But it's a small price to pay to feel complete and ready for anything, right? :)

PURPLE REIGN

Rich & Skinny Clark ankle peg jeans | BCBG Allie satchel | Torn by Ronny Kobo peplum top { very similar here } | Miu Miu patent glitter pointed pumps | J Crew beaded flower bracelet | Vanessa Mooney unity ring | House of Harlow pyramid ring | Lancome Color Design lipstick in "Corset"

I am always surprised at the difference of opinions whenever Jacaranda trees start to blossom across Los Angeles. Some people find shedding of the flowers messy, others are indifferent, I personally love this time a year. There is something magical about walking under a canopy of lavender Jacarandas, on a ground covered with vibrant purple-bluish petals. And since Jacaranda trees bloom for only about 2 months a year, I never miss an opportunity to walk on the streets lined with these beautiful trees. And take blog photos of course:)

SUN ON MY SKIN

Lovers + Friends asymmetrical dress { in another color here & different style here } | Coach Leighann sandals { in natural & black here } | Samantha Wills anchor bangle | Vanessa Mooney Lynx cuff & Unity ring | House of Harlow pyramid ring

I call this one my happy dress... Fun print and fun cut, combined together in one unbelievably gorgeous dress! I also have a soft spot for garments that move, and this one definitely does in the most amazing and graceful manner. Just a few steps, and the skirt comes to life, floating and dancing around you like an exotic tail. Naturally, whenever I put it on, twirling around is pretty much a must! :)

ROSE AND GREY

Separated flats via Randa | Lovers + Friends Fun times jacket in natural { also here } | Club Monaco denim shirt | Cutoff studded denim shorts purchased on Melrose Avenue - { similar option here & love these cute silver star ones here  } | Proenza Schouler PS11 bag | ASOS Spike rings | Samantha Wills Beauty & the Beast bangle | Juicy Couture arrow bracelet & ring | Butter London nail polish in "Artful"

Funny, but when denim-on-denim trend first came around, I can honestly say I wasn't particularly excited. Yet, slowly but surely, it found it's way into my closet. Now, of course, I practically live in my cut-offs and denim shirts. Seriously! :) You can observe the evince of my denim-on-denim obsession here & here

I think denim is basically my equivalent of a safety blanket: it's familiar, comfortable and comforting. The more I wear, the more I want to:) So, I abandoned any attempts to fight the urge to dress in denim head-to-toe, and simply challenge myself to try and find new ways of wearing it.

Today's look is all about mixing denim pieces in different colors, like combining a bleached denim shirt and a pair of white denim cut-offs. And since color pretty much rules all of my outfits, I added a beautiful rose-hued utility jacket and a pair of silver-grey separated flats thanks to Randa, an awesome brand from Japan, who just launched their international on-line store, for just a bit of color.
