Green Day

On Thursday my girls and I decided to go out for dinner and drinks. We don’t always dress up for dinners but the weather was so lovely we just couldn’t miss this opportunity. Emil and I snapped these right before I was getting ready to leave. I have to say, I like taking pictures at sunset, the light is so soft and forgiving… Plus, the colors come out so much brighter and I really wanted the green in the dress to show. This is one of my favorite dresses, I got it a few months ago and I am wearing it nonstop! Robert Rodriguez makes wonderful, comfortable, elegant and very easy to wear clothes. If I could, I would buy every single item from his collection. You’ve already seen these shoes, but like I said before I wear things I love to death. So, please forgive meJ

On the Way to Paradise Cove

This Saturday the weather was beautiful so Emil and I decided to go Paradise Cove in Malibu. Paradise Cove is a wonderful place right on the beach, famous for great sea food, breathtaking sunsets and ice cold beer! Our fiends introduced us to this little heaven and we can’t seem to get enoughJ

I got this leather skirt from H&M for only $24.00 and I simply adore it! I love wearing it with different blouses or cropped sweaters, sandals or booties! This Marc by Marc Jacobs t-shirt is my absolute favorite, I feel like the funky print in the front gives it a bit of an edge! And of course my new treasure, the Phillip Lim bag, I’ve been lusting over for months now, is finally mine! Bows and studs, soft and hard, you know me I love the dualityJ

Spikes and Pleats

Getty Villa in Malibu is one of my favorite places to visit in LA. Aside from the gorgeous gardens and architecture the villa houses a very impressive collection of Greek and Roman art. On a warm, sunny day I love nothing more than getting a cup of great coffee up on the patio and admiring the beautiful surroundings.

So, I have a new pair of shoes! I know, I know, but I just couldn’t resist! I was a little scared to walk in these at first because I am a huge klutz. I was pretty sure taking half of my foot off with the spikes on the back was unavoidable. But alas, they are positioned just perfectly so the side of your foot never comes in contact with anything sharp! Emil was making fun of me of course, because he was sure I would have bought them regardless! Ahh, he knows me well… I totally would have! J

Wednesday Wish-List

I decided to post some of the items I’ve been drooling over lately! When I saw this Proenza Schouler bag my heart laterally stopped for a second! Gorgeous color and shape! These Alexander Wang booties are so beautiful, the design is quite elaborate but I think the neutral color makes them very easy to wear!  I love big shades, here in California they make a lot of sense, the sun is always in my eyesJ I was really attracted to these particular ones because of the beautiful and flattering shape! I adore this Topshop ring, the design is gorgeous! And of course the stunning Hermes watch I've been dreaming about for ages! Beautiful, timeless design... What are you dreaming about lately?

Ray of Light & Chloe Paraty Tote

One of my favorite trends this season is the color orange. So, when I saw this bag I just couldn’t resist! I am a huge fan of Chloe bags period, plus I was looking for a fun orange bag. I justify this one to myself because it works with right about everything! Makes all my monochromatic outfits so much more for fun! Emil and I went to Marina del Rey to shoot these pictures and the weather was simply amazing! A perfect balance between the warmth of the sun and coolness of the wind. A rare gem of day! Hence the stupid grin on my face, I am always cold so on a day like this I just cannot help but smileJ I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Wind of Change...

So Emil and I are trying something different this time. Usually I pick all the pictures that go on the blog, this time he talked me into giving him complete creative freedom! He chose every single one!!! And let me tell you, it’s not easy for me to let go! I am a bit a control freak, ok maybe not a little bit, maybe more like a full blown monster of a control freak, but I am trying to take it down a notch… Emil has a great eye for pictures, so I am hoping you’ll like themJ

Seventies Thing...

So, I am getting on board with the Seventies trend! Usually I am not the biggest fan of higher waist lines, but I really like this particular pair of jeans. I just wish they were a little longer, or maybe the shoes should be a little flatter… What do you guys think? I am wearing one of my favorite blouses, the color and the texture is so amazing! I am a very big fan of Rebecca Taylor, her designs are always so easy to wear. I got this blouse last year, it was the only one left, size XL. I figured I’ll try it on anyway and I actually ended up liking the lose fit! Just goes to show that sizes are not an exact science at all…

P.S. It was a really windy day, I spend most of it fighting with my hair, the hair obviously won, which I think is quite evident from the last picture. Hey, I decided the embrace the madness :)

Sun on my skin, song in my heart...

Ahhh, finally we are enjoying some good weather in LA. The sun is out, the temperatures are rising and I am beginning to feel like summer is around the corner! Sorry for the lack of posts this week, work has been kind of crazy. Normally when I come home I have plenty of time to do some blogging, but for the past week I’ve been putting in a lot of overtime, so I when I finally get home I just crash! Wednesday I came home around 8, decided to take a nap and woke up next morning! Some nap, huh? J But, things are finally getting back to normal, so I promise to post more!!!
