FULL ON FLORAL

Not sure what's been happing with LA weather lately, but it sure feels like it can't make up it's mind:) Just when I think it finally got cool enough to wear all the Fall appropriate outwear, we go right back to sweltering heat. Not that I am complaining or anything, I am the first to admit, I definitely have a hard time letting go of Summer. Happens every year, without exceptions! Normally, I accept the fact that I can no longer wear sandals and sundresses sometime in November or early December. But this year, I've been working hard on embracing the Fall wardrobe a bit earlier:) 

Yet the warm weather was certainty appreciated yesterday, since Emil and I had a dinner party to attend and I was dying to wear this gorgeous peplum top. Love absolutely everything about it, in fact, I have a hard time deciding what I like the best, the high-low hem, floral print or the dramatic open back. My guess, it's probably all of the above!

VIVA LUXURY

I often get asked why I decided to name my blog VivaLuxury. The truth is, the word luxury always had a very special meaning for me. My motto is, doesn't matter what you're wearing, it has to feel good and make you feel good, which is why, I believe, luxury is synonymous with comfort and quality. And today's outfit is a combination of both. If you've been following me for a while, you know jackets are one of my weaknesses. Comfortable and stylish, I think, they help add a certain polish to an outfit. I fell in love with this particular one from Burberry, as soon as I saw it. Immaculately tailored, it's made from the softest cotton and feels so light, you forget you're wearing it at all.
The second item on my guilty luxuries list are jeans. Sure, I love dresses and skirts, but if I want to be comfortable, I reach for a pair of skinnies and ever since designers started coming out with new colors, treatments and washes, it's been a challenge to wear anything but denim:) Last but not least are bags. I've had this particular Givenchy bag for about 6 month now and it looks just as new as it did, the day I got it. Ask me how many red bags I got since this one? Well, exactly zero, and I don't think I'm going to, in the next few years. How about you, what does luxury mean to you, guys?

This time around, I got to style a denim jacket from Levi's new Trucker collection. A denim jacket is probably one of the most functional pieces you can own, because it can be styled in an infinite number of ways and works with just about anything from dresses to leather pants or shorts. The latter combinations being my particular favorite, don't really know why but I always loved the way denim and leather pair together.
