A Moment in Time...

So, I found yet another pair of boots I am crazy about. I got these Jeffery Cambells from Solestruck.com and immediately feel in love with them. Do you guys have this one pair of shoes that seem to work with pretty much everything. Skirts, shorts  and jeans, they complete every outfit!

On Sunday, Emil and I went to the beautiful Red Rock Canyon Park. I've been there a few times but it just never seizes to amaze me. I think I feel the most relaxed and at peace when I am there.

Afterwards, we stopped by a restaurant where we had our first date. We haven't been back there since then so it was kind of interesting to take a trip down the memory lane. You know the awkward little moments, things we talked about and of course how we liked each other very much from the very first moment we met.

The necklace and bracelet were a gift from Emil. He knows just how much I love ShopBelina.com and always takes the time to surprise me with little something.

Summer Sunsets

Nasty Gal I love you! One of my favorite stores to shop for cool tops, shorts and shoes! My latest find is this sweater! Isn't it absolutely gorgeous.  Another recent purchase is the shorts I got from ShopBop.com. I love Hudson Denim and these shorts are no exception .

P.S. You will probably notice a flash of blue denim in one of the pictures at the end. I must confess I get cold easily so I borrowed a pair of jeans from Emil. He thought I looked absolutely hilarious and kept snapping photos of me. In his defense, I did look ridiculous, you see,  he is probably 4 sizes bigger than I am. As we were taking pictures they kept sliding off, so I tried to hold back a smile, take a picture and to stop the jeans from falling off. In case you are wondering, the jeans won! He literally begged me to post a few of them here. But upon further consideration I don't think my blog would have survived such humiliation. Let's put it this way, cars were honking as they were passing by! And not the good kind of honking either:)

Just a Simple Day...

Yesterday Emil and I celebrated 4 years together. We thought about having a big party but decided against it and instead spend the day just the two of us, enjoying the simple things. We took a walk in our favorite park, had a fantastic dinner, did a little shopping and watched a movie. A very simple day which was absolutely perfect.

On very rare occasions, such as our anniversary for example, Emil gets to have a certain degree of input when it comes to what I wear. Funny, I always assumed  boys like dresses and short skirts, but he really is more of a jeans and t-shirt kind of a guy. He even mentioned the dreaded word "flats" but I had to draw the line somewhere. If I can hike in heels I can certainly take a walk in a park in them. Plus, these boots are new:) I found them on  my new favorite shopping site solestruck.com  I think they have every Jeffrey Campbell style imaginable and soooo much more!
