LITTLE BLACK SHIRTDRESS

I've always been a fan of shirtdresses. There is a certain kind of ease and nonchalant coolness about them. Comfortable and stylish, to me, shirts dresses are a must-have Summer staple to wear day or night. Found this particular one on a recent trip to Banana Republic and fell in love with it the moment I saw it! Aside from the fact that I cannot resist a dress with pockets no matter how hard I try, this one has quite a bit of those special details I always look for. I mean how cute are those ruffle sleeves with tie details! I also love the unexpected color! Most shirtdresses I came across are white. Now, don't get me wrong, I love white dresses but in this particular case, I feel black makes this dress just a tad cooler and edgier, and possibly more appropriate for night:) What do you guys think?

BACK IN BLACK

As you may have noticed I've been on a bit of a dress binge lately and the pretty shoulderless number I'm sporting in today's post is my latest find. Though my obsession with dresses ( few other favorites here & here ) is nothing new, what I have been doing differently lately is pairing feminine, flirty frocks with chunkier heels for a slightly more modern, not to mention much more comfortable feel and look. Take the studded perfection from Laurence Dacade I am wearing in today's post for example, comfortable enough to wear all day long, I just love the way they add a certain ease and edge to the whole ensemble! Not to mention the fact that unlike a pair of stilettos ( which I think would have looked great for night), they definitely make this look more appropriate for day.

Good morning and happy Monday, Everyone! I hope you all had an amazing weekend! As a blogger, I pretty much live on my phone! No matter where I go or what I do, I am constantly checking emails and schedules, taking Instagram pictures, adding reminders and notes and even editing posts. So, I guess it's really not that surprising, I feel like my phone is an essential part of my life. Always on the go, a great phone makes a world of difference in helping me keep it all together, which is why I am so glad Samsung Galaxy Note + Galaxy Gear came in to my life! What do I like about it so much, you ask? Well, aside from the fact that it's a perfect union of high tech and great style, I am completely addicted to the humongous Full HD screen!
Now, I can actually see what I'm typing when I answer emails, not to mention, it makes shopping on the go sooooo much easier:) Let's just say recently, I've definitely been indulging in some stuck-in-traffic-maybe-I-can-use-this-time-to-shop-for-shoes scenarios!:) I also appreciate the fact that I can answer phone calls, check text messages, emails, and answer phone calls directly from my Galaxy Gear watch. But, I think my personal favorite is the S Voice, which basically allows me to use voice commands to make phone calls, create events, compose messages and so much more! How about you guys, have you checked out Samsung Galaxy and Galaxy Gear? What is your favorite feature?

BACK TO BLACK

Good morning, Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful week! For the most part, Emil and I spent the past week running around like two headless chickens:) Oh, and on top of everything, I am only half way through my Christmas shopping list! Can't even begin to think about how little time I have left to get it all done:) How about you guys, are you done with  your Christmas shopping? 

In other news, I am having a very difficult time accepting the weather we've been "enjoying" in LA lately. Now you know, normally I never complain about the weather! Winters in California are amazing! Warm and sunny, there is rarely a need to wear anything other than a sweater or a light jacket! Well, not this year! In fact, I don't remember the last time it was this cold! The only solution is layering! And layering is precisely what I've been doing, which is particularly evident from this outfit:) 

Although I like the head-to-toe black look, I simply can't resist adding just a touch of color to my outfits, which is why I opted to wear these cute cobalt blue pumps from Sole Society. Definitely my favorite pair of heels at the moment, I just can't get over how pretty and comfortable they are! I know I gushed about them before, but finding a pair of shoes you can wear all day long and feel like you are wearing a pair of slippers, is definitely addicting:)
