NEW YEAR - NEW HAIR

Good morning and happy almost weekend, Everyone! Hope you all had a great week! 

As happy as I was with the way my hair was looking lately, I decided to start 2015 with a little bit of a change:) So, I went back to see Lucie Doughty, Paul Mitchell's Editorial Director, to discuss possible color changes and we decided to go for a soft ombre look. Since my hair just recently recovered from all the damage I've inflicted on it over the last Summer, rather than doing ombre on all the hair, we decided to lighten the ends on a few top sections. Lucie also suggested that instead of achieving this look in one step, we make it into a gradual process. So, I will go back in about 3 weeks to get the very ends even lighter. But I am super happy with the way it turned out and even though it's not a huge change, somehow my hair feels fresh and new!

LEVI'S #MAKEOURMARK LOOK 2

I am excited to once again team up with Levi's and Lookbook.nu for #MAKEOURMARK campaign. In essence, the campaign celebrates individuality and the importance of self expression, something, I hold very near and dear to my heart. 
This time around, I got to style a denim jacket from Levi's new Trucker collection. A denim jacket is probably one of the most functional pieces you can own, because it can be styled in an infinite number of ways and works with just about anything from dresses to leather pants or shorts. The latter combinations being my particular favorite, don't really know why but I always loved the way denim and leather pair together. This is definitely another one of my outfits comprised entirely of current favorites. Case in point, if you read my blog regularly, you know how I feel about shoes and statement shoes in particular. The ones I am wearing today, are my latest score! Always on a lookout for a great pair of black sandals, these are the coolest strappy heels I came across in a while. Love that they are not too tight around the ankle, which makes them not only absolutely awesome but also completely, gasp....  wearable and walkable! 

The shorts are another one of my latest obsessions, love the cut and of course the armor detailing on the front. I've been wearing them with a loose-fitting bleached denim shirt, but decided to switch things up a bit and paired them with a lace top instead. Lace happens to be another one of my weaknesses and since this particular top is cut like a tee, it's super easy to wear and looks great with absolutely everything from skirts and boyfriend jeans to pretty tough-looking leather shorts:)
