BOYFRIEND STYLE

Good morning, Everyone! I hope this week is going great for you? 

Ever since Emil and I started this blog about 4 years ago, we've been talking about posting a look styled complete by him. Though I always believed it was a great idea, I am also the first to admit it's not always easy for me to give complete creative control to someone else, even to someone who knows me and my style as well as he does. 

Yet, as reluctant as I was to let him style a look for me, I have to admit, I was definitely curious to see what he would come up with. I tried to remember some of his favorite looks on me, things that he liked in general, but I couldn't think of a definitive look or style. I know boys generally love dresses and girly things, and he is certainly not an exception in that sense, yet, he always said how much he loved seeing simple things like jeans and cute sweaters on me. So after a while, I let my curiosity take over and gave him complete and total control!

Much to my surprise, because I honestly did expect to wear a dress, he came up with the look I am wearing in today's post! My first reaction - I freaking LOVE IT! By far, the edgiest outfit I've ever sported on this blog, I am honestly half tempted to let him style more for me:) I absolutely love how he was able to create a look that was true to my esthetic and also incorporate items I would consider wardrobe staples, like a great pair of boyfriend jeans and out-of-this-world amazing studded leather jacket. I guess he knows me even better than I thought! :)

PRETTY PINK

As much as I love the darker and richer Winter color palette, I can never stay away from pastels for too long:) Don't really know what it is about this color palette I find so attractive, perhaps I associate these pretty colors with sunshine, warmth and Summer. And of course you know how I feel about Summer...

Basically, gimme 80-degree weather year-round, and I am one happy girl!:) Or perhaps I love pastels so much, because they are such happy, uplifting colors... Really, how can one not have a great day wearing a pretty pink sweater? :)

IN THE NAVY

Good morning and happy Wednesday, Everyone! How is your week going so far? It looks like Fall decided to take a step back in LA and we are back to enjoying super warm, sunny weather and I am certainly not complaining! Yesterday, Emil's family and I spent a wonderfully relaxing day exploring the beautiful Getty Center, doing a little bit of shopping and munching on the world's most delicious pizza at a little place we found in Santa Monica! Is there anything better than family time?:)

NEW HAIR & KINDA CASUAL

I've been thinking about chopping off my hair for some time now. Initially, I wanted to go super short, like Karlie Kloss short, but once I got to the salon I realized I wasn't ready to give up my long hair just yet. So, I went with a medium length and I am definitely happy with the way it turned out! Much easier to style, it looks and feels healthier and slicker, I think.

And who knows, I may just go super short eventually but for now, I like being able to wear a ponytail or do my favorite side-braid. What do you guys think? Long and wavy or shorter and straight?
